Dathan Voelter currently serves as general counsel and secretary of Atlas Energy Solutions. Prior to that he served as managing counsel and assistant secretary at Andeavor. Previously he served as the chief compliance counsel at Itron, Inc. as well as vice president and assistant secretary of Freescale Semiconductor after practicing corporate and securities law at the firm of Vinson & Elkins in Austin, Texas. He is a Certified Public Accountant and started his professional career with Coopers & Lybrand as an auditor.
Voelter received his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School, a BBA in International Business from the University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of Blinn College.
Voelter enjoys volunteering for organizations that serve the Austin community and Texas. He has served on the Board of the Texas Business Hall of Fame. He has also served as Chairman and President of the Texas Lyceum, on the Board of the American Lung Association Central Texas Chapter and was an officer on the Board of the Freescale Foundation which he helped start in 2013 to invest in STEM education opportunities for children.
Voelter is a member of Local Chapter 412 and was appointed to the Germania Farm Mutual Board of Directors in 2015. In 2017, he obtained his Farm Mutual Director Certification from the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and earned the NACD Board Leadership Fellowship in 2019.
