Jeff Knippa grew up near Hutto, Texas, and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. He is owner/agent of Knippa-Buchhorn Insurance Agency (Local Chapter 32) where he has served as an agent since 2003 and purchased the agency in 2012. The agency continues to be a family business and proudly serves the surrounding community.
Knippa owns a small cattle operation, and prior to his insurance career, he served our state as Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms for the Texas State Senate. He and his family are active members of Zion Lutheran Church and School in Walburg where he serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and on the church council and previously served on the school board. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Walburg Community Center.
Knippa was elected to the Germania Farm Mutual Board of Director in 2017. In 2019, he was recognized by the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies for completing the Farm Mutual Director Certification program.
