Laura A. Deutscher
Laura Deutscher earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB), and the Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW).
Deutscher serves on multiple boards and brings nearly four decades of leadership experience across insurance, financial services and professional services. Prior to board service, she was a partner at a consulting and advisory services firm focused on the insurance industry and held senior executive roles at CAN Insurance and Gallagher, as well as other risk management and financial organizations.
Ms. Deutscher was appointed to the Germania Farm Mutual Board of Directors in 2021, where she serves on board committees. She holds the Mutual Insurance Director certification from the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. She has been recognized as Business Insurance’s Women to Watch, a 2023 Accord’s Women’s Insurance Advancement Award honoree, and Reuters’ 2024 Trailblazing Women in Insurance, and was recently named one of 50 Women to Watch for Boards. She is currently serving on Business Insurance’s Women to Watch Foundation Board and leads the Women in Insurance Catalyst Committee.
