Team Member Welfare
We offer medical, dental and prescription drug coverage.
Medical and Dental Insurance: Germania provides medical, dental and prescription drug coverage for all full-time team members. Coverage for eligible dependents is also available.
Life Insurance: Team members are provided with two life insurance policies. One provides $10,000 of coverage. The other policy provides coverage equal to 2x the team member’s salary.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance: Germania provides full-time team members with accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
Short and Long-Term Disability : Germania provides full-time team members with a percentage of their income during periods of extended illness or injury that prevents them from working.
Team Member Voluntary Wellness Benefits: Germania provides an annual onsite health fair. The company also provides flu shots for team members.
Retirement Benefits
Team member contributions are matched dollar for dollar up to a maximum of 7%.
Defined Contribution Plan with Employer Match (401K Plan) ― Germania provides a generous match of team member contributions, contributing up to 7% in matching dollars. Team members are immediately eligible to participate in the plan and are able to roll over monies from other qualified plans into their Germania account.
Paid Time Off
Get paid for major holidays, sick time, vacations, even volunteering.
Vacation Time: Full-time team members receive vacation time based on their position and length of service.
Sick Time: Full-time team members receive 8 hours of sick leave for each full month of employment.
Personal Time: Full-time team members are provided personal time based on position.
Holidays: Germania observes 10 holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and normally either the day before or the day after Christmas. Team members also receive a birthday holiday during the month of their birthday.
Volunteer Time: Germania believes it is important to give back to the communities we live and work in. We have developed a volunteer program that allows team members to volunteer their time during normal working hours to approved organizations.
Work Environment
This is a casual, healthy workplace. Look forward to the annual company picnic!
Dress Code: Germania’s dress code is casual Monday–Friday.
Working Hours: We normally observe a 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday.
Smoke and Tobacco-Free Environment: Smoking and tobacco are prohibited inside Germania offices. Team members may smoke or use other tobacco products outside the building.

Job Postings — Germania team members who have prepared themselves for additional responsibilities are able to apply for available positions within in the company to advance their careers.
Designations — Germania encourages its team members to work toward designations related to their positions and rewards them when a designation has been obtained.
Special Events: Germania has special events throughout the year. They include a company picnic and a holiday party.
Service Awards: Germania provides a service award to team members who have completed five years of service and then at intervals of each five years thereafter. We recognize the team members with a luncheon in their honor along with an award.
Online Company Store: Germania’s online store offers team members the opportunity to purchase Germania logo merchandise.
Financial Support
We have a variety of programs to reward team members and help you save.
Annual Merit Review: Each team member’s performance is reviewed annually with the potential to receive a merit increase.
Flexible Spending Accounts: Germania offers two types of flexible spending accounts, Unreimbursed Medical and Childcare.
Direct Deposit: Team members are paid twice a month and may elect to have their earnings electronically transferred and deposited into their bank accounts.
Scholarship for Team Member’s Children: Germania provides a $1,000 college scholarship to the children of team members.
Health Savings Account (HSA): Team members who enroll in Germania High Deductible Health Plan also have the option of participating in a Health Savings Account that allows the team member to contribute pre-tax dollars into this account to help pay for eligible medical expenses.
Credit Union: Germania Credit Union is available to all team members and their family members. The credit union provides savings accounts, certificates of deposit, checking accounts, auto and personal loans. Payroll deductions are available for credit union savings or loan payments.
Optional Voluntary Benefits
Specialty coverage for cancer, vision and accidents is available.
MASA Emergency Transport Solutions: You have the option to purchase coverage for emergency medical transportation. If you have a health incident that requires you or a family member to be transported to a hospital, the MASA program covers the cost of the transportation.
Cancer Policy: You may elect voluntary coverage that pays a cash benefit you can use for out-of-pocket expenses if you are diagnosed with cancer or one of 29 other specified diseases. The policy pays you directly to the coverage you have.
Vision Plan: Our vision plan gives you access to quality vision care and helps you save money on eye exams, eye glasses and contact lenses.
Additional Accidental Death and Dismemberment: Additional AD&D insurance is available through Germania Life Insurance Company.
