Derrell Krebs – Secretary/Treasurer

Derrell Krebs began his career with Germania on July 17, 1989, as an accountant I. In 1990, he was promoted to an accountant II and then in 1992 to controller. Derrell was appointed assistant secretary–treasurer in 1997, and in 2000 he was appointed secretary–treasurer of Germania Insurance Companies.

Derrell is a native of the Brenham area. He is an honor graduate of Texas A&M University, class of ’80, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting. In 1982, he received his certified public accountant (CPA) designation.

He is involved in a number of industry organizations such as the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association, the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and the Texas Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. In addition, he is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Derrell is a board member of the Brenham Country Club serving as the secretary–treasurer as well as a member of Christ Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and as president of Christ Lutheran Foundation and chairman of the day school board.
